Sparrow Choir & Lark Ensemble
The Sparrow Choir and Lark Ensemble are for young singers who are too young for voice lessons, but want to start building their singing skills. The Sparrow Choir includes singers ages 5 - 8 years and the Lark Ensemble is 7 - 11 years. The overlap in age between the choirs (7 - 8 years) is meant to accommodate mid-age singers who may have varying experiences with singing. Choral placement is at the discretion of the teacher and based on a voice check prior to the start of classes. Singers joining one of these choirs for the first time will also be asked to meet with the teacher for a voice check before the start of classes. These are not considered "auditions" as all children will be welcome to sing. The musicianship portion of choral ensemble classes is not optional and serves as a vital part of music education for singers. Parents are welcome, but not required to attend choir classes, however, we do ask that parents walk their children all the way to the studio. For safety reasons, students under age 12 should not be dropped off outside the building.
Any behavioral issues encountered during the course of the classes will be addressed on a case-by-case basis between the teacher and parents. Unresolvable behavioral issues may lead to students being asked to remove themselves from the class with no refund. Children must have the ability to use the restroom without assistance.
Tuition for choral ensembles is $300/student per 14-week session. Parents with more than one student enrolled in Wild Bird classes will receive a 10% discount on total tuition. Payment plans are available.
If a student chooses to unenroll from a course after the first class, a full refund minus a 10% (of full tuition) administrative fee will be provided. If a student chooses to unenroll from a course after the second class, a full refund minus a 20% (of full tuition) administrative fee will be provided. After three classes, no refunds will be provided. Tuition payment or the initiation of a payment plan must be provided before the first class of any session. Finance fees apply to online payments, but these can be avoided by paying with cash/check. Those enrolled in a payment plan must pay online.
